I now have 3 rss feed options from for your reader.

1. Venti: Full Tumblr experience (about 50 updates per week).

2. Grande: Just the “Stuff I make” posts filtered from the Tumblr feed (1-4 updates per week).

3. Tall: Old fashioned long form blog (about once per month, if that).

There is cross posting between all three, so choose one depending on how much you like my noise.

Too Art For TV 5, a fine art show for the animation industry.

I’m showing a film, but, alas, have no plans to make it in person, unless something spectacular happens to me between now and March (I’ll keep you posted if it does).

Animated Journal (long version) 

1. I haven’t posted this here directly yet, because I was trying to get it to show up big on my theme (like on my slow blog), but I gave up on that.
2. Art doesn’t have to be a career objective, or a total obsession, or something you make money from, or even something that other people will like.  It can be just something you make for yourself, in the cracks of your life, and if you put it up somewhere and other people connect with it, then that’s cool.
3. I wouldn’t have made this thing if it hadn’t been for Tumblr and the people I found here.
4. Normal service now resumes.

REBRAND

Largo from Concerto No. 1 in E major, Op. 8, “La primavera” (Spring).

A few years back we made projections for a live performance by the Emerald Ensemble of the “Four Seasons” by Vivaldi.

This is one I did for the second movement of Spring.

There was very little budget, so I spent a week or two listening to the piece over and over, when in the car, then did all the CGI work in less than 2 office days.

From the BDH website:

“Vivaldi wrote sonnets for each concerto in the Four Seasons. For this piece he wrote:

“And now, in the pleasant, flowery meadow, to the soft murmur of leaves and plants, the goatherd sleeps with his faithful dog at his side.”

Each musical element clearly illustrates a scene and the shapes in the animation reflects that.”

Animated Journal No.1 030709

Still not sure about the name, but anyhow.

I’ve always like the picture a day format, video diaries etc, and wanted to loosen my fixation that animation is a long drawn out torture-fest.

So here I am making it about instincts, ephemera & brevity.

Hopefully weekly, probably more like monthly.

There is no quality guarantee.
